Smoothie bowl, acai bowls, nice cream bowl…they are all mouth wateringly good! And look just as good as they taste!
Here are our top tips for making them so they taste their best!
- Make them 1 part vegetable to 1 part fruit to ensure you don’t get a sugar high. Great vegetables to add are spinach or kale! Our favourite fruits to add are any type of berries- acai, goji, raspberry, strawberry, blueberries!
- Add a source of protein- such as organic protein powder, nut butter, chia seeds or hemp seeds
- Add ice cubes or frozen banana/berries/almond milk for a thicker consistency
- Add some healthy fats – such as avocado, chia seeds, linseeds, nuts or even acai berries
For maximum nutrition add superfoods- Acai berries, moringa, cacao, maca are our favourites! Our Shine Bright blend has acai, goji berries, baobab, moringa and matcha green tea in so just 1 or 2 teaspoons of this is AMAZING
Go crazy with the toppings!!! You can add anything even granola for some crunch!
Our Go to Recipe:
1 cup of frozen mixed berries (Raspberries, strawberries and blackberries)
½ frozen banana
Handful of spinach
2 teasoons of Shine Bright blend- this gives you acai berry, goji berry, baobab, moringa and matcha green tea!
½ cup coconut water or almond milk
(Mix in a high speed blender)
Then for the topping:
½ a banana sliced up
And some shaved coconut, a dollop of almond butter and a sprinkling of bee pollen and chia seeds!!!
Make them for a nutritious breakfast. An afternoon snack or even for lunch!
